A web search then runs on the server and fills more. It only fills empty fields, and every value carries its source.
As soon as you enter the address, Listing Launchpad locates the property and fills the postal code, the nearest cross street, which side of the street the house faces, directions and whether the area is urban or rural. It then places the property in your board's area tree, Region, Municipality and Community, for both the PropTx and Cornerstone trees, and names the school boards for the municipality. In Hamilton it fills the actual catchment schools as well.
In roughly thirty Ontario municipalities, including Toronto, Ottawa, Hamilton, Mississauga, Brampton, the York Region towns, Burlington, Oakville, Durham, Niagara, Barrie, Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph, Kingston and London, it reads the city's own open data. Depending on the city, that can be zoning, garbage day, municipal water and sewer, lot area and shape, PIN, roll number, legal description, storeys, a pool and the year built.
Where an assessed value is found, it estimates the property tax from the municipality's current residential rate, and labels the figure as an estimate.
The second pass is a web search that runs on the server, so you can close the tab and it still finishes and saves. It looks for the property's own records and past listings, and it never searches the things only you should decide, like price, deposit, HST, MLS number, showing terms or rental costs. For a condo, it only takes a figure from that exact unit's own record.
The AI Auto-fill panel lists the sources grouped by what each one contributed, and the ones it searched and took nothing from. Each filled field carries a mark that says where its value came from and that you have not reviewed it yet.
Prefill only ever fills empty fields. If you type into a field while the search is running, your value stays. Search again re-runs the web pass later, still filling blanks only. The web search costs 3 AI copy generations and is refunded when it finds nothing.
