Every Canadian real estate transaction needs a client identification record, and chasing a photocopy of a driver's licence is nobody's favourite part of the job. Listing Launchpad sends your client a secure form and keeps what they submit with the client's record.
Send your first intake link freeListing Launchpad has a secure intake link for FINTRAC client records. Your client enters their legal name, date of birth, address, occupation and employer, residency and marital status, and the politically exposed person declaration, then photographs both sides of their driver's licence or photo card. Records are stored privately, and you still verify identity as FINTRAC requires.
The intake link asks for what a FINTRAC individual identification record needs: full legal name, date of birth, address, occupation and employer, and residency status as a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or non-resident, along with marital status. It includes the politically exposed person and head of an international organization declaration.
The client photographs the front and back of their driver's licence or photo card on their phone. The images are stored privately, and the AI can read the ID number and expiry date so you are not transcribing them.
Client identification sits with the client's record and is never part of anything shared: it does not appear in the seller's portal, the Property Vault or any public page. On a team, the leader's compliance view shows which listings have complete FINTRAC records and which do not.
Listing Launchpad collects the information and the ID images. It does not verify identity. Checking the ID against the person, recording the method, and keeping records for the period FINTRAC requires remain your and your brokerage's responsibility, and your brokerage's compliance policy decides how.
The FINTRAC and TRESA guide on this site walks through the record-keeping rules in plain language.
